RETREAT GURU

HIPCAMP

YOUR EXPERIENCE

We offer a beautiful landscape to loose or find yourself in. Each retreat will feel different because while the weekend is guided, the conversations are not. Nathaniel and Raina create meaningful activities that allow guests to follow their interests and ask questions. That is the beauty of the retreat’s setting, meaning, and capacity.

LODGING ACCOMODATIONS

Monet Goode

Nathaniel built this tiny home from the trailer up. It is entirely handcrafted by himself. It is well-insulated, does not have a bathroom, but does have a sink and shower with an instant water heater that can be a bit sluggish as it ages. It is a true work of art and has a beautiful, private feel. Must be comfortable staying in a loft complete with Raina’s Great Grandmother’s quilt adorning a queen mattress. Can have two guests attending together.

All bedding provided.

TINY HOME

Emmett Marsh

In 2019, Raina and Nathaniel were married at Big Rock Ranch. The platform and canvas wall tent were raised in celebration of their wedding night. It has comfortably accommodated hundreds of guests since opening on Hipcamp in 2020. Initially configured with one queen bed, it now has two twin beds on either side. The frames are family heirlooms of Nathaniel’s family. Outside is a functional outdoor kitchen. Two guests.

All bedding provided.

ELK TENT

KODIAK TENTS

Eleanor Parks

A more accurate ode to glamping is our Kodiak tents. Tall enough to stand in, these tents are cozy and comfortable. Made from durable, thick material, these tents feel secure. There are many windows for ventilation or stargazing at night. These tents will be designed to be homey and sweet, accommodating up to two guests. They have floors and will have cots and sleeping bags with throw blankets.

All bedding provided.

MORE ACCOMADATIONS

  • "This is the most magical place with the kindest people!!! Farm animals, cute dogs, cozy accommodations, picturesque landscape, the sweetest dogs, could not ask for more. Raina and Nathaniel are so very wonderful and thoughtful"

Alexa B. (former tiny house guest)

  • "What a wonderful little get away! Not only were the accommodations great, but the hosts were so friendly and inviting! We were entertained by the goats, gifted eggs from their chickens, and we got to learn about their practices on regenerative farming! Very entertaining, educational, and beautiful!"

    Julianne B.

  • "It was a pleasure to stay on Raina's land and meet her family! Waking up to the goats perched on the rocks was a real treat -- and the stargazing was lovely."

    Miranda E.

  • Big Rock Ranch is such a special, beautiful spot and Raina and family have created a sweet little oasis there. The big tent is thoughtful and very comfortable. We did the regenerative farm tour and learned about how they're creating a small farm that's sustainable for the land, animals, and humans who live there. Meeting the animals and watching the goats frolic on the rocks was very special. Sunset and sunrise were both stunning. The big rock catches the light and absolutely glows. The sunset colors were glorious, too. This beautiful place is worth visiting and returning to.

  • "10 stars!! 🌟 This was by far one of my favorite Hipcamp stays. We were greeted upon our arrival by Raina & her lovely family, & had so much fun hanging out with all the animals! Plenty of sights to see just around the Hipcamp site - goats, cows, horses, chickens, dogs, as well as little trails to walk! Our tent was so perfect & cozy - everything we could possibly think of needing was supplied for us! We even received fresh eggs while we were there (: The bathroom was fantastic as well - clean & cute! Would absolutely love to stay here again. Don’t forget to look up at the stars while you’re there!"

    Alexis T.

  • "Nothing short of spectacular, from every well thought out detail of the design to the fresh eggs waiting to the beautiful rock behind the tent that illuminates at magic hour. This is amazing family endeavor that is impeccable in farm design and well managed settings for guests. The white lights at the tent (and even in the toilet) makes the stay even that much more festive. I will be retuning when I need a wide open space to think, write, paint, and just enjoy the farm-style living ."
